About
I study Physics in Pisa and use this site as a public laboratory: a place where ideas can collide before they become too well behaved.
My name is Mattia Apicella. Physics is the center of gravity, but not a fence: around it I keep artificial intelligence, philosophy, mathematics, piano, fiction and any object capable of turning harmless curiosity into a week of obsessive study.
In 2018 I attended United Space School. That experience permanently changed my relationship with ambition, science and people met too early to be forgotten cleanly.
Here I try to connect registers that are usually kept apart: conceptual models, physics of ideas, networks, artificial intelligence and narrative pieces. I am deliberately disorderly, because if I truly ordered my thoughts it would feel like putting them inside a fence: to me they are not only a source of progress, but in some way my children, and children sometimes need to be left in conditions where they can choose for themselves.
For messages, proposals or ordinary attempts to determine whether I am a real person, there is a contact form.
